Reasons why your SageStream credit score may be different than your credit scores from other consumer reporting agencies
SageStream, LLC (“SageStream”) is a consumer reporting agency that prepares consumer reports and credit scores for its clients who are typically lenders and other credit-granting companies (collectively, “Lenders”).
While SageStream provides credit scores to Lenders, SageStream does not make lending decisions nor does it have visibility into any Lender’s criteria for granting or denying credit to you or any other loan applicant.
Credit scores are used by Lenders to help them determine how likely you are to repay your loan on time. Typically, the higher your credit score falls on the range of possible scores, the less of a credit risk you are to a Lender.
It is important to note that there are many credit scores available in the market and that there is no “one” credit score assigned to an individual consumer. One consumer reporting agency’s credit score for an individual does not necessarily represent what another consumer reporting agency’s credit score might be for that same individual. Further, a consumer’s credit score produced by each consumer reporting agency can differ depending on the data that the consumer reporting agency has about a consumer at the time when the credit score is calculated, as well as the score model used to calculate the score.
In addition, the range of possible credit scores can vary from one consumer reporting agency’s score model to another. Credit scores produced by SageStream range from 001 to 999, whereas scores produced by other consumer reporting agencies, which could include FICO scores, can, for example, range from 300 to 850 or from 250 to 900. As a result, please note that the credit score you receive from a different consumer reporting agency is not representative of the credit score you will receive from SageStream.
If you would like to request your SageStream credit score free of charge, you may:
1. Submit a written request by secured fax at (858) 451-2847, or by mail to: SageStream, LLC Consumer Office, P.O. Box 503793, San Diego, CA 92150; or
2. Call us at (888) 395-0277.
Note that requesting your SageStream credit score will not hurt or otherwise impact your SageStream credit score.
